Great question! We've never attended one either. We wanted to do something a bit different, and with both of us being well past our partying prime, we decided to do a daytime event. You can still expect classic wedding staples: a ceremony, a full bar, a semi-awkward first dance, and plenty of love and happy tears. We'll also have brunch stations, an espresso bar, our FAVORITE dessert, games, and time to connect with each one of our guests.

In all seriousness, we request cocktail attire at both our cocktail party and our wedding. Feel free to make your Sunday brunch attire "springy" - florals and linen invited!

We are planning on an outdoor ceremony on the North Lawn of South Shore Terrace. Please note that May in Milwaukee is not guaranteed to be "warm" or "seasonable," particularly on the lake, so maybe bring a light jacket.

Our reception will be inside at the Pavilion!

Annalise Upton has won the coveted spot of "only child at this wedding." While we love all of your kids, please take the evening & afternoon for yourselves to celebrate, adults-only!

If you're planning on imbibing at our open bar, we'd love for you to take an Uber or Lyft!

If you are parking at Onesto for our cocktail party, feel free to park in the garage at 225 E. Chicago Street, Milwaukee, which is right around the corner from the restaurant.

If you are parking at South Shore Terrace for our wedding, there is street parking available. No need to pay the meter on Sundays.

We are not doing a hotel block, but we've added some hotel suggestions in the Travel section of this website. Our wedding coincides with UW-Milwaukee's graduation, so if you will need a hotel for Saturday and/or Sunday nights, please book early! Please contact Caitlyn directly if you need additional suggestions.
